RESURFACING FACIAL

At the heart of our multi-modality approach lies our Ultimate Pico Genesis + Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology, a popular emerging combination therapy in skin innovation. MLA utilises an array of microscopic lenses to deliver laser energy to targeted areas of the skin precisely, optimizing treatment outcomes while minimising discomfort and downtime. By harnessing the power of MLA, we can effectively address a wide range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin texture.

PICO GENESIS:
The key feature of Pico Genesis is its ultra-short pulse duration in the picosecond range (trillionths of a second), which allows for precise and efficient targeting of pigment in the skin without causing damage to surrounding tissues. This makes Pico Genesis highly effective in breaking up pigment deposits, such as melanin clusters responsible for dark spots and uneven skin tone while minimizing the risk of side effects such as burns or scarring.
In addition to targeting pigment concerns, Pico Genesis also stimulates collagen production in the skin. Collagen is a key structural protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. By stimulating collagen production, Pico Genesis helps improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and promote overall skin rejuvenation.
Pico Genesis is suitable for all skin types and tones, including darker skin tones, making it a versatile treatment option for a wide range of patients. It can be used on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, hands, and more.

MICRO LENS ARRAY - MLA:

The Micro Lens Array consists of an array of tiny lenses, each capable of focusing laser energy onto a specific point on the skin's surface. These lenses are arranged in a precise pattern, typically in a grid-like formation, to ensure uniform coverage and distribution of the laser energy.

The primary function of the MLA is to optimise the delivery of laser energy to the skin. By focusing the laser energy through microscopic lenses, the MLA can concentrate the energy onto targeted areas with greater accuracy and intensity. This precision allows for more effective treatment of specific skin concerns, such as pigmentation irregularities, fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.

The use of the MLA results in enhanced treatment outcomes compared to traditional laser devices. By delivering laser energy in a controlled and precise manner, the MLA can effectively address skin concerns while minimizing damage to surrounding tissue. This leads to improved results, reduced risk of side effects, and shorter recovery times for patients.

Another advantage of the MLA is its ability to minimize discomfort and downtime associated with laser treatments. By focusing the laser energy more precisely, the MLA can achieve the desired results with fewer treatment sessions and reduced recovery periods. This makes the treatment more tolerable for patients and allows them to resume their daily activities more quickly.

The MLA offers versatility and customization options, allowing practitioners to tailor treatments to the specific needs and preferences of each patient. By adjusting parameters such as energy levels, spot size, and treatment depth, clinicians can optimize treatment outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.

Treatment Information

1

What is Pico Genesis?

Pico Genesis is an advanced laser skin treatment that utilizes picosecond laser technology to address various skin concerns and rejuvenate the complexion. This innovative treatment delivers ultra-short pulses of laser energy to the skin, targeting areas of concern such as hyperpigmentation, sun damage, age spots, uneven skin tone, and acne scars.
Unlike traditional laser treatments, Pico Genesis works at a faster pace, generating pulses in picoseconds (trillionths of a second). This rapid delivery of energy allows for greater precision in targeting specific skin concerns while minimizing damage to surrounding tissue. Additionally, the ultra-short pulses stimulate collagen production, helping to improve skin texture, elasticity, and overall youthfulness.

What is the MLA?

MLA delivers fractional laser energy to the skin, meaning that it treats only a fraction of the skin's surface area during each session. This approach creates microscopic treatment zones within the skin, leaving surrounding tissue unaffected. Fractional technology promotes faster healing and recovery compared to traditional laser treatments, as it allows untreated areas to aid in the regeneration process. The MLA creates small, controlled micro-wounds in the skin's upper layers using fractionated laser energy. These micro-wounds stimulate the body's natural healing response, triggering the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. As a result, the skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more youthful over time.
One of the key benefits of the MLA is its ability to stimulate collagen production and remodelling within the skin. Collagen is a vital protein that provides structural support to the skin, helping to maintain its firmness and elasticity. By promoting collagen synthesis, the MLA helps to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and minimize the appearance of scars and other imperfections.

The ultra-short pulse means great results can be achieved with less downtime than traditional lasers and has far lower risk of adverse reactions such as hyperpigmentation.
Improvement can be seen generally after the first treatment, 2 weeks following the procedure.
The skin will then continue to improve for 3-6 months post-treatment, depending on lifestyle factors and skincare consistency.
Optimal results require multiple treatments which is generally discussed during consultation.
