A breast lift elevates the breast tissue and nipple–areola complex, removes excess skin, and improves projection without necessarily changing overall breast volume. It may be combined with implants or fat transfer when added volume is desired.

A breast lift (mastopexy) repositions and reshapes the breasts to achieve a more lifted, balanced contour. At Klinika, procedures are performed by Dr Rizk, cosmetic surgeon, in a doctor-led clinical environment with an emphasis on natural, harmonious results tailored to your anatomy.

Breast lift surgery is performed under general anaesthetic. Dr Rizk reshapes internal breast tissue, repositions the nipple–areola complex and removes excess skin. Incision placement is planned to support shape while aiming for discreet, well-healed scars over time.

Lift alone (mastopexy): reshapes and elevates without adding volume

  • Lift with implants (augmentation-mastopexy): lift plus added fullness
  • Lift with fat transfer: subtle volume/contour using your own fat (select candidates)
  • Incision patterns: periareolar (“donut”), vertical (“lollipop”), or vertical + inframammary (“anchor”) — chosen to suit degree of ptosis, skin quality and goals

Your journey begins with an in-depth consultation with Dr Rizk to assess suitability, discuss goals, and plan the approach best aligned to your anatomy and preferences.

Our clinic offers personalised consultations to discuss suitable non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation. Why Patients Consider a Breast Lift

  • Address sagging (ptosis) after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight change or ageing
  • Improve nipple position and breast symmetry
  • Refine shape and upper-pole contour
  • Balance proportions for a more streamlined silhouette

Am I a Suitable Candidate?

You may be suitable if you:

  • Are in good overall health and at a stable weight
  • Are concerned by breast droop, downward-pointing nipples or loss of shape
  • Have realistic expectations and understand potential scarring
  • Are not pregnant or breastfeeding (and have allowed adequate time since breastfeeding ended)

Recovery and Aftercare

  • Week 1–2: rest, light activity; supportive post-op bra as advised
  • Week 3–4: gradual return to routine tasks; avoid strenuous upper-body exercise
  • Week 6+: resume most activities as cleared by your surgeon

Risks and Considerations

All surgery carries risks. Potential risks include bleeding, infection, adverse scarring, asymmetry, changes in nipple sensation, delayed wound healing, need for revision surgery, and for combined procedures, implant- or fat-related complications. These will be discussed in detail during your consultation.

Will a lift make my breasts smaller?

A lift reshapes and tightens tissue, which can make the breast appear more compact. If you prefer additional fullness, augmentation or fat transfer can be discussed.

Do I need implants for a good result?

Not necessarily. Many patients achieve their goals with a lift alone; implants are considered when added volume or upper-pole fullness is desired.

How visible are the scars?

Scars are permanent but typically fade over time. Placement and aftercare are planned to support discreet healing.

How long should I wait after breastfeeding?

Generally, wait until breastfeeding has completely ceased and breast size has stabilised; timing will be assessed individually at consultation.

How long do results last?

Results are long-lasting, but weight fluctuations, pregnancy and the natural ageing process will continue to influence breast shape over time.
