Dermaplaning is a cosmetic technique and popular skin treatment on the Central Coast used to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells and fine hairs, commonly known as ‘peach fuzz’,  without having the worry of it growing back thick and prickly. ​The treatment is non-invasive, using a surgical blade attached to a blade holder to gently scrape over the face, lifting both peach fuzz and dead skin cells and resulting in a smoother, fresher and brighter looking complexion. Dermaplaning can be safely performed on all skin types and tones and is safe to have if pregnant or nursing. It can be used to treat a number of conditions including dry, dull or rough skin, superficial pigmentation, fine lines and acne and congestion, whilst allowing for better absorption of skincare products. 

After treatment, we recommend avoiding the use of exfoliating scrubs and active products including Vitamin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA’s) for 5-7 days. We also advise avoiding direct sun exposure for 2 weeks post-treatment and applying Daily SPF50+. Make-up can be used as desired, however, we recommend keeping the skin make-up free for at least 24 hours.

We recommend having Dermaplaning every 4-6 weeks.

Results from your dermaplaning  treatment last several months, however peach fuzz will return within 4-6 weeks. Having regular ongoing treatments will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen, improving the complexion and giving the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year round.
